A deep appreciation for design, fine fabrics, and delicate craftsmanship has shaped my journey in fashion. From my early days at Saks Fifth Avenue, I was drawn to the artistry behind luxury goods—the thoughtful details, the precision, and the timeless elegance that define exceptional design. My passion flourished at Harvard Business School, where I was a member of the Luxury Goods and Design Club and dedicated two semester-long projects to handbag and accessory design.
I began designing jewelry and handbags soon after moving to Paris and London in 1998. Inspiration struck and playfully grew amidst the spectacular cityscapes, the impressions that lingered in the passage of elegantly-adorned women, and the countless winding avenues housing alluring displays of exquisite, elaborate jewelry. What began for me as a curiosity soon evolved into a full-blown passion, leading me to create pieces infused with the diverse aesthetics of the more than 50 countries I’ve explored. Beyond my own designs, I have worked in social media and public relations for a Swiss-owned luxury watch brand, further deepening my connection to the world of intricate craftsmanship, handwork, and timeless elegance.
My life journey has taken me from Austin to Washington, to Geneva, Paris, Windsor, and now Luzern, immersing me in a world of luxury, design, and cultural sophistication. Along the way, I have explored the great fashion capitals of the world—Milan, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Florence, Madrid, Shanghai, London, Dubai, Hong Kong, Vienna, and Edinburgh—drawing inspiration from their elegant storefronts, masterful craftsmanship, and ever-evolving street style. My travels have provided an endless source of inspiration, materials and refinement to my artistry. I have shopped for silk and other delicate fabrics in China, Japan, and Sri Lanka and sourced semi-precious and precious gemstones and jewelry components from markets and artisans around the world, including in France, Italy, Peru and Brazil.
The Larque Originals Collection reflects this global influence, blending textures, colors, and styles ranging from refined to whimsical, understated to bold due to the rich expanse of colors, textures and images underlying the creation of each piece. While my boutique initially showcased my personal designs, my current lifestyle has shifted my focus to curating exceptional pieces from other designers and retailers, with my own limited designs available by request.
My designs have been exhibited in boutiques, galleries, and art shows in Dallas, Austin, and Boston, and I’ve had the privilege of selling directly to clients in Paris, Geneva, and throughout the U.S. The spirit of discovery and design continues to shape my ever-evolving journey in luxury and fashion and the lovingly curated selection of jewelry, accessories, and clothing waiting to be discovered by you at LARQUE.com.
